Description

The Diocesan School for Girls (DSG), one of the oldest girls’ schools in South Africa, values its tradition of excellence but also recognises the need to be at the cutting edge of educational trends.

Women in the 21st century have more choices and options available to them than any generation that has come before. At DSG, we acknowledge the exciting contribution women can and are making globally and recognise that the modern school needs to prepare girls for a rapidly changing world.

Our aim is to develop girls who are forward thinking, transformative in their world-view and critical, independent problem solvers; young women who can make sound ethical judgments with a keen sense of their social responsibilities.

At the end of her school career, a DSG girl will be a strong, confident woman – a woman who will be adaptable in coping with a rapidly changing world; who is prepared to be a leader and to play a meaningful role – in short, a woman of substance.
