UJ Honors Bursary Programme 2015
Financing one’s studies is always a challenge many people are facing due to a financial constraints. Such challenges hamper someone’s dreams thereby affecting their future. It is in this regard that some local tertiary institutions realized this need and decided to make means to close this gap by awarding candidates with bursary programmes.
University of Johannesburg is one such institution which is offering students an excellent opportunity to study in specific departments so that they can complete their Honours degree. UJ pays for the student’s tuition in full.
The facility offered by UJ is an aspect many students are in need of hence this opportunity should be utilized at all costs. In order to qualify for this programme, students are required to adhere to the following requirements:
- Apply for a bursary only if accepted for an honours degree in a host department’
- Students studying towards a second honours degree do not qualify
- Students must have a minimum average of 65% in the final year major to be undertaken at honours level in order to apply
The application process
The application process can be either done online nor by physically submitting it. As such, students should submit an application form, a certified copy of the applicant’s ID or passport, a signed and stamped letter of acceptance into an honours programme from the home department, a signed and stamped official academic record to relevant departments.

- Art, design and architecture
- Economic and Financial Science
- Health Sciences
- Management Science
